Chemical pipeline regeneration

Deposits often accumulate in industrial pipelines. These deposits prevent the transportation of materials and have to be removed regularly in order to guarantee efficient operation. Aggregates such as heat exchangers, cooling towers or chill rolls, kneading rollers, injection moulding machines, bioreactors are often downstream, and their failurefree operation must be guaranteed as production directly depends on it.

There are different procedures for pipeline cleaning, including mechanical such as high-pressure cleaning, scraping or milling, or using chemical or chemical-mechanical procedures. A procedure is described below, with which such pipelines can be quickly and cheaply cleaned using a chemical rinsing fluid in SITU, i.e. without disassembly and reas-sembly and costly setup times.

In the accompanying article "Cleaning industrial pipelines.pdf", the requirements for efficient regeneration means, the project development and the implementation of such a service are described.
